What is your Thanksgiving tradition, and what are you most thankful for?

Tiffany Chou, 12: “For Thanksgiving, my family gets together and we have a feast. Eating is my favorite part of the holiday because I like food. My cousin made macaroni and cheese that had bacon bits which was my favorite thing I ate. It was baked too and the top was crunchy. I’m thankful for my mom for dealing with me because she had to suffer with me through everything with college.”

Anvar Akhmetov, 10 – “I don’t come from a family that celebrates Thanksgiving; last year I was just taking a break from school. It was more of a break, than a Thanksgiving. I’m thankful that I passed last year pretty well, and I’m also thankful for transitioning into a new country because I moved schools. So those are the two main things I’m thankful for.”

Julia Milton, 9 – “I usually have a lot of family come over. My cousins, and some people fly in from Texas. I eat turkey, mashed potatoes, cranberries, typical Thanksgiving foods. I’m thankful for my friends, family, and my iPhone.”

Baxton Chen, 11 – “I don’t have that many traditions. I usually just stay home and sleep in. This year, I’m thankful for my family, my friends for always being there for me, and also my teachers for just being able to give me this opportunity to learn.”

Zoe Mendoza (9)- “Every year we make turkey into sandwiches and we eat pumpkin pie with whipped cream. I spend Thanksgiving with my relatives, grandparents, and cousins. I’m thankful for my family, friends, and pretty much everything good that happens.”
